Cricket World Cup

The first ICC Cricket World Cup was held in the United Kingdom in 1975 and was won by the West Indies, who beat Australia by 17 runs. Since 1987 the hosting of the World Cup been shared by the major cricket playing regions of the world - England, the Indian subcontinent, Australasia, Southern Africa and the West Indies.

The 2007 tournament will see 16 teams competing, and begins on March 13th at Sabina Park, Jamaica and ends with the final on April 28th at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
